Vast: Las Cavernas de Cristal

Finally, a board game where everyone truly plays a different game at the same table. The cave tiles feel surprisingly sturdy, and my first game as the dragon was tense from start to finish.

The asymmetry in this game is brilliantly executed — every role plays completely differently, so each session feels fresh. My group dove right into the shifting cave tiles and the distinct win conditions for each character.

I was skeptical about how well a game where everyone plays different roles would work, but the cave-tile flipping and dragon’s hidden movement kept us all on edge. Each player’s unique victory condition really makes every session feel fresh and unpredictable.
