De Clockwork Expansion 2 is een zelfstandige uitbreiding waarmee je het kunt opnemen tegen vier geautomatiseerde facties. Voeg er één toe om een spel met weinig spelers compleet te maken, of werk samen in coöperatief spel!

Elke bot heeft vier moeilijkheidsgraden en vier eigenschappenkaarten, die hen speciale krachten en strategische eigenaardigheden geven. Ook is er een nieuwe Better Bot-eigenschappenkaart voor elke factie uit de eerste Clockwork Expansion.

Dit is een uitbreiding. Hiervoor is het Root-bordspel nodig, evenals een of beide van The Riverfolk Expansion en The Underworld Expansion.
