《發條擴充》包含《茂林源記》基本遊戲中所有四個陣營的自動化版本：機械侯爵2.0、電氣鷹、自動化聯盟與流浪機器人。此擴充與我們的其他擴充完全相容，因此如果你想讓河商或烏鴉對抗發條陣營，完全沒問題！
你可以用任何喜歡的方式遊玩發條陣營。單人模式？太棒了！加入幾個來填滿你的多人遊戲？很簡單。團隊合作對抗發條陣營？沒錯，連這也行！
每個發條陣營都有三個難度等級。如果你想要更多變化，還可以加入一到四個獨特特質，賦予陣營新的能力與特色。
